The Imperium seems to be decaying from within. The age of man seems to coming to an end. I really appreciated the dark and grim tone of this novel. Often heard about, referenced and spoken of but this is my first time reading a 40K novel set on Terra. The best part of this novel was that it takes place on the Throne World of Terra. One of the best Warhammer 40K novels I've read yet and I've read more than my fair share.
